Done with the usual hair brands lining supermarket and luxury beauty-store shelves? Feel like looking a little further for something that actually works ?
FEELING WHILE USING IT
Lighter consistency, mild fragrance, and an almost immediate feeling of hydration – even while my hair is still wet.
IT DOES WHAT IT SAYS
On my hair length and ends, I really saw a difference. My aging hair looked and felt a little more like its younger version;
NOT SO EASY TO GET IT
It is not something I can just pick up from a shelf. Outside Japan, finding the right product and getting it may take some time;
PROFESSIONAL QUALITY
You can feel the professional care. MILBON develops its products around its own hair research and technologies;
ALREADY REPURCHASED
A family member tried it following my recommendation. Her dry, aging hair, additionally damaged by bleaching, felt noticeably softer and more hydrated after just one use. An urgent repurchase followed;

Here is real BEFORE-AFTER treatment result at the Japanese salon te to te + me in Hanoi.
My dry lengths looked smoother and felt softer.

FOR NORMAL TO THICKER HAIR
───────
dry • coarse • hard to manage
– Treatment M is created for normal-to-thicker hair that feels dry, coarse or difficult to manage.
– When moisture is already in the hair → M helps keep it in, thanks to the Evening Primrose Oil.
– Milbon developed this keratin-derived ingredient CMADK to target and repair damaged areas of the hair.
───────
KEY INGREDIENTS:
+ Evening Primrose Oil – moisture retention;
+ CMADK / Keratin derivate – damage repair;
+ Macadamia Nut Oil – conditioning;

FOR FINE TO NORMAL HAIR
───────
fine • soft • easily weighed down
– Treatment F is created for fine to normal hair that needs moisture without feeling weighed down.
– Unlike M, F focuses more onbringing moisture to the finer hair while helping to keep it there.
– F also uses Milbon’s CMADK ingredient to target and repair damaged areas of the hair.
───────
KEY INGREDIENTS:
+ Jojoba Oil – penetrates into the hair and keeps the moisture inside;
+ Hyaluronic Acid – attracts and holds moisture;
+ Rice Protein Derivative – helps condition and strengthen the hair.
✧ Pramia Hair Treatment M contains silicone and fragrance; check the ingredients if you prefer to avoid either;
⌕ Salon distribution makes specific products harder to find;
♥ Luxury-looking little jars for gifting → larger refill pouches for everyday use;
! Not only for aging hair, in my opinion – it would work well on dry, damaged hair at any age.
↻ Consistency may matter. I used mine rather irregularly and still noticed a difference. MILBON says continued use of its CMADK-containing Hairserum line helps give hair healthy moisture and softness. I may simply not have used it consistently enough to see its full effect.
AND THERE IS MORE FROM PLARMIA TO TRY:
+ SHAMPOO M/F
+ OIL M/F
+ SCALP CARE
+ OTHER PLARMIA TREATMENTS
I found Plarmia Hair Serum while looking for professional Japanese haircare that could treat my dry, aging hair.
Milbon is a professional salon brand, so some Japanese/ Milbon partner salons carry it.
The catch: usually only selected products are available
As I currently live in Hanoi, my practical solution in such cases is the FADO website – a Vietnamese cross-border shopping platform that gives me access to products from overseas markets, including Japan.
For readers elsewhere, Amazon is the best option, especially Amazon US and Amazon Japan, where the choice is generally much wider.

Apparently, one Plarmia hair serum was not enough. After the first one, I ordered an even bigger refill of 1,000 ml.
I also tried MILBON volume shampoo. It gives my hair a nice lift, without weighting it down. I save it for special occasions, though. For everyday washing, I prefer scalp-care shampoos or even my homemade blends, using ingredients that suit my hair.
The hair oil was another first for me from this hair care brand for aging hair. It has a pleasant, mild fragrance, and does its job to smooth my dry ends. The bottle is a generous 120 ml, and I expect it to last quite a while.
In conclusion, I am becoming quite fond of Japanese Milbon products, but for sure I don’t need the entire range.
I will keep their hair treatments such as serums, masks and oils, in my routine, while sticking to my Nizoral and homemade shampoos for regular washing.
