JITESY Laser Hair Growth Comb Review – Does Red Light Therapy Work for Hair Loss?

JITESY Laser Hair Growth Comb Review – Does Red Light Therapy Work for Hair Loss?

This is the second electric hair comb I’ve recently purchased from Fado Vietnam, following some personal research.

I wasn’t ready to invest in an expensive laser helmet — at least not yet.

What I wanted was something affordable, easy to use, and still helpful as part of my daily hair care routine.

So today, I’m sharing an honest look at the JITESY Laser Hair Growth Comb – a budget-friendly red light device that claims to support hair health without breaking the bank.

What you are buying: Specs, Material and Design

  • Brand: JITESY
  • Manufacturer: Not officially disclosed (sold by multiple Amazon vendors; likely manufactured in China)
  • Material: Lightweight molded plastic body, curved handle
  • Power Source: USB-rechargeable lithium battery
  • Display: LED screen with timer and mode indicators
  • Controls: Side button interface
  • Modes: 8-minute and 16-minute auto-timers
  • Light Spec:  40 red LEDs at 650 nm and 8 red “laser” lights at 650 nm

⚠️ Note: While the product lists both LED and “laser” light sources, there’s no certification or power rating to confirm if these are true LLLT diodes. We’ll clarify this in the next sections.

What Is Good VS What To Know

🔸Uses 650 nm wavelength, which is in the scientifically supported range for circulation and scalp health.

🔸Comes with 2 session modes (8 min / 16 min), helpful for custom routines.

🔸Feels solid and stable in the hand – not cheap or flimsy.

🔸Budget-friendly way to explore red light scalp therapy without spending a fortune.

🔸The large comb “teeth” give a very satisfying scalp massage – even when used with the light switched off.

🔸While brushes don’t cover the whole head like helmets, this makes it easier to avoid shining light on moles or raised skin spots that shouldn’t be exposed.

X Though the manual says “laser”, it uses mostly LEDs – not true LLLT diodes.

X No clinical evidence it can trigger real hair regrowth – effects are likely surface-level.

X No FDA clearance, no verified certifications listed anywhere.

X Likely not powerful enough for severe hair loss, but may offer some support for moderate cases when used consistently.

How to Get the Most Out of the JITESY Red Light Comb

  • 🧡 Use in two stages → 8 minutes on one or more thinning areas, then 16 minutes gentle full pass
  • 🧡 Clean, dry scalp only – no oils, serums, or damp hair during light sessions. Barriers block light
  • 🧡 Keep it to 2–3 sessions per week – more isn’t better. Overuse can irritate the scalp
  • 🧡 Massage with oils while OFF – for product penetration, switch the device off, apply and massage
